I'm off to Erie for the weekend for R's Halloween Party. Next week I'm looking forward to sharing photos of my downstairs powder room remodel. For now, here's a sneak peek. Happy Halloween everyone!

Baby Shower Invites
Over the next two weeks, my brain is going to be buzzing with all things baby boy. Not for my own sake (thank goodness) but for my sister-in-law. She is currently expecting her first child, Anthony, who is due to grace us with his presence in early January. Two months ago, I began researching a fun design for her shower invitations that coordinated with the colors she and her husband have chosen for their new nursery: black, white and blue. Below is the design that I came up with which is printed on 100# white linen paper. Each invitation was hand trimmed with rounded corners and backed with coordinating scrapbook paper. I chose white linen envelopes which were custom printed, and the invitation suite was finished off with a matching envelope wrapper. The illustration on the invite was hand done by me, and as an extra layer of personalization, I used the mommy-to-be's profile to create the silhouette of the woman. I had a great time designing these, and I'm having an even better time designing two showers that coordinate with this theme.

Here We Go
This past weekend I had the opportunity to attend my first Pittsburgh Steelers game of the 2011-2012 season. As a lifelong Pittsburgher, I know that any time that you have the opportunity to obtain tickets to a game, you take it. Partially because they are super fun to go to, and partially because the season ticket waiting list is more than thirty years long. This particular opportunity included tickets that were not only free, but six rows back on the 20 yard line. WIN! To make the football-filled day even better, my fantasy football team beat my husband's. (DOUBLE WIN!) Here are a few of my more favorite snapshots from this memorable experience. Go Steelers!
